Government must lead the way... and Woodbridge's Mayor and Council has done just that!

How has Woodbridge become more sustainable, you ask?

  • Township invest $7 million in solar panel project for municipal buildings, including the Main Library, Evergreen Senior Center, and Community Center to name a few. Last week, the Township made an interlocal agreement with the Woodbridge Fire Department to install solar panels.
  • Established a Natural Resource Guide and Master Plan
  • Purchased new Bio-Diesel Fuel and Hybrid Vehicles to replace older, less efficient Township vehicles
  • Established and promoted "Green-Oriented" Redevelopment, most notably the planned development  of a state-of-the-art enviro-technology incubator and industrial park
  • Encourged businesses and residents alike to join the Township's efforts to save energy, recycle, shop locally, among other terrific initiatives
